Access & Reproduction
Egypt, Retold works like a reading room. You can look at every published item here, but files are not handed out by default. Each item shows one of four access states.
For artworks, photographs and press clippings. The whole image is online with deep zoom and a light watermark. The original file is sent on request.
On the item page: Request original file
For books, magazines and catalogues. Every page can be read online as a two-page spread (one page on phones), with a light watermark. A copy is sent on request.
On the item page: Request a copy
The team chooses a few pages to show, with a watermark. The note says how many, for example “Preview: 4 of 48 pages”. Request full access for the rest.
On the item page: Request full access
Chosen by the team for some items. The file downloads directly, with no watermark and no form. Cite the reference number.
